Using this Website
If you wish to submit your objection by email, please compose your objection in a word document and then attached to an email to 'comaps@tandridge.gov.uk'
Thanks to those who have already submitted objections. At the risk of repetition, we need as many people as possible to object. We are very lucky to have a highways engineer of 39 years standing within our group and he has produced a 12 ish page submission objecting to the Development. We have also engaged a planning consultant who we asked to focus on the Green/Grey belt issues and she will be submitting a very lengthy objection based on the flaws in their application. At the time of writing this is due to be submitted in a few days time.
However, these are very lengthy technical planning speak submissions written by experts. For the nonexperts amongst us, our objections can be as short or lengthy as we feel comfortable with, covering one or more issues. Whatever we feel passionate about we need to cover and personalise our objections in terms of how it affects us.
We have had some feed back suggesting a ‘how to Object using this website’ guide may be helpful. So here goes:-
If you hover your pointer over ‘Objections’ a drop down menu will appear:-
‘Using This Website’ This page,
‘How to Object’ when selected shows 3 items,
-
‘Who can Object’, covers exactly that.
-
‘How to Submit an Objection’ details the various routes available to submit an objection. &
-
‘Framework of an Objection’ provides a draft copy of an objection letter which can be used for email or as a letter.

All these items can be copy & pasted’ if you wish
‘Objection Areas’ when selected shows Areas on which to base your objections:-

Select one of these areas, e.g. ‘Highways’, to see a selection of extracts(Please see below) from the comments of real objections submitted by residents and experts(Principally Tandridge District Council 2025/815 Land West Of Eastbourne Road, South Godstone, Surrey, RH9 8JY).
Choose one or more that fits closely to the sort of objection you feel passionate about.

Select ‘Download’ and you will be presented with a sample text(Please see below) of an objection. You have the option to either cut & paste or rewrite your own version of it to use for your objection letter.
